Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
Stereotactic Breast Biopsy is most often performed for calcifications or a mammographically evident breast mass which cannot be visualized on ultrasound. Computerized digital images are obtained which determine the exact location of the breast lesion. Cores of tissue are removed and sent to pathology.
