MRI Guided Breast Biopsy

MRI Guided Breast Biopsy is performed when a lesion identified on MRI cannot be seen by any other breast imaging modality such as mammography or ultrasound. MRI images are obtained which guide needle placement by the radiologist. Cores of tissue are removed and sent to pathology.
