Dynamic MRI of the Pelvic Floor
This study is used to evaluate pelvic floor dysfunction and abnormal descent of pelvic organs (prolapse). Images are acquired at a rapid speed and the movement of the pelvic organs is recorded and analysed. The study takes approximately 20 minutes. In order to best evaluate for pelvic floor dysfunction, sterile gel will be placed in the rectum and vagina prior to the study. Preparation includes a fleet enema the night before the study.
