Fetal MRI

This study is used to evaluate the fetus. The main indications are evaluation of suspected anomalies in the fetal brain, chest and abdomen. Using advanced techniques, rapid images of the fetus are obtained that can freeze the fetal motion and provide detailed images of the fetal anatomy. It is recommended that the patient not eat for 4 hours prior to the exam in order to decrease fetal motion.
