Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology
Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, a Division of the Department of Obstertrics and Gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and the North Shore University Hospital, focuses on both common and rare disorders of the reproductive organs.
Our care of young female patients is performed in a positive, healing environment, through an interdisciplinary team approach. We recognise that gynecologic problems encountered in the pediatric and adolescent populations are unique to this age group and use different physician skills than those utilized with adults. Since we are directly connected to the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York, we interact daily with specialists in all aspects of pediatric care.
Each child's welfare is a priority of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. In addition to addressing each individual's current medical condition, we also provide a highly educated perspective on how childhood illnesses will impact on future sexual and reproductive functioning.
Our knowledgeable, caring physicians are pioneers in the field of pediatric gynecology and combine world-class diagnostics with the treatment options specifically designed to meet the unique needs of young patients.
