On February 24, 2012, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, the Stroke Club will proudly present Raffaela Pia, RN, MS, the Director of Patient Safety at North Shore University Hospital. She will be speaking to Stroke Club members about the “Speak Up” Joint Commission’s national campaign to educate patients on how to take an active role in their health care. Some of the topics that will be discussed are: how to prevent infections, avoiding medication mistakes, tips to know when you visit your doctor, stroke risk factors and knowing your patient rights.
