Department of Emergency Medicine
- Urgent Care Centers

North Shore-LIJ Medical Group Urgent Care Centers are located in Rego Park, Queens and Bethpage, Long Island. The Urgent Care Centers are a convenient alternative to waiting in an emergency department or when your primary care physician's office is closed for the evening, weekend or holiday. We also welcome pediatric patients.

Our Urgent Care Centers treat immediate medical problems with the same high level of care patients have come to expect from North Shore-LIJ Health System. Patients requiring primary care, specialty care or ongoing treatment will be referred to another  physician after care is rendered at one of our centers. Our physicians will follow up with all patients and provide them with results that are not available at the time of the visit.

Patients should visit their primary care physician for chronic conditions such as diabetes management, hypertension, maintenance drugs, routine health physicals or well baby and child visits. Additionally, patients should see their primary care physician for follow-up services regarding any care that was received at our Urgent Care Centers.

We welcome inquiries; feel free to call us at one of the number listed below.

Laboratory and X-ray services are available to help diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries, including acute sports injuries, infections in most body areas, asthma and allergy symptoms, rashes and other illnesses. Our physicians can perform immediate minor surgery, such as wound repair and skin lesion removal. Some patients may be transferred to a hospital emergency department if their condition needs more extensive care or hospitalization.
