Pioneers in Emergency Critical Care Fellowship Training
North Shore University Hospital is among the earliest developers of the concepts of emergency critical care. We created one of the first fellowships in the country devoted to the emergency critical care subspecialty. Our emergency critical care fellowship trains fellows in critical care medicine as it applies to the ICU and the Emergency Department. Additionally, our physicians and nurses deliver emergency critical care treatment for many affiliate emergency departments in North Shore-LIJ Health System.

Our goal is to be the pre-eminent provider of quality emergency healthcare in the Northeast, a sponsor of medical and educational excellence, a leader in medical research and a focal point for the community's healthcare needs.
