Low Back Pain Symptoms and Causes
Low back pain can range from mild, dull, annoying pain, to persistent, severe, disabling pain in the lower back. Pain in the lower back can restrict mobility and interfere with normal functioning. Most acute back pain is mechanical in nature — the result of trauma to the lower back or a disorder such as arthritis. Symptoms of low back pain may range from muscle ache to shooting or stabbing pain, limited flexibility and/or range of motion, or an inability to stand straight. In most cases, back pain may be a symptom of many different causes.
