Migraines
Migraines Headache Symptoms and Causes
Migraines are a throbbing type of headache that is distinguished by symptoms other than pain that occur with the headache. Nausea and vomiting, lightheadedness, sensitivity to light and other visual disturbances are common symptoms of migraine headaches. Migraine headaches are diagnosed primarily based upon reported symptoms, but a thorough medical exam may be used to rule out underlying diseases or conditions. Although the causes of migraine headaches are not fully understood, genetics and environmental factors seem to both play a role.
