If you received a bill from us, we can help you settle your account. If you are an Insured Patient and have active health insurance, we can bill, re-bill or follow-up on any unpaid claims. If your claim(s) is denied, you are uninsured, or you are not fully covered for a service and need help with your hospital bills, we can help you apply for our Financial Assistance Program.
North Shore-LIJ’s Financial Assistance Program helps uninsured or underinsured patients who make up to five times the federal poverty level and who do not qualify for public health insurance, get their hospital and medical bills lowered. If you do not qualify for financial assistance or if you just want to Make a Payment for your hospital bill(s) and need payment arrangements, we can help you set up a payment plan that you can afford so you can make a payment each month until your balance is $0. You may also contact the business office listed on your bill.
If you are Uninsured and Looking For Help NYS has a number of free or low-cost health insurance choices. If you do not qualify for these NYS programs, North Shore-LIJ also has a Sliding Fee Scale program where you can get routine medical care, at a low cost.
