North Shore LIJ Health TV Launches on Cablevision

GREAT NECK, NY – North Shore-LIJ Health System and Cablevision System Corp., the region’s leading providers of healthcare and communications, respectively, today announced the launch of North Shore-LIJ Health TV, an interactive health television channel, which can be found on iO TV channel 616. The new video-on-demand channel offers timely, vital health and wellness information to Cablevision’s nearly three million digital cable customers on Long Island and in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Westchester, Lower Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Connecticut.

North Shore-LIJ Health System is the first New York-area healthcare provider to establish its own TV channel. North Shore-LIJ Health TV provides access to a varied video library of health and wellness topics from physicians and other healthcare professionals from the North Shore-LIJ Health System, information on each of the North Shore LIJ hospitals and the ability for viewers to request additional information from the health system’s spectrum of services. The channel will be refreshed with new video content to ensure information on the latest advances in medicine and treatment options are accessible to viewers.
