Core Curriculum

Core Curriculum

Each of the three residency years is divided into 13 four-week periods allowing for numerous opportunities with varied patient populations. The goal of the residency program is to provide training across the lifespan, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  The following is an overview of the three years of training:
 

First Year Rotations

  • Inpatient Adult Medicine
  • Outpatient Family Medicine Clinic
  • Inpatient Pediatrics
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Surgical
  • Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Special Surgery I (ENT/Dermatology)
  • Special Surgery II (Urology/Opthalmology)

Second Year Rotations

  • Inpatient Adult Medicine
  • Outpatient Family Medicine Clinic
  • Inpatient Pediatrics
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Surgical
  • Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Community Medicine
  • Elective Rotation

Third Year Rotations

  • Inpatient Adult Medicine
  • Outpatient Family Medicine Clinic
  • Inpatient Pediatrics
  • Outpatient Pediatrics
  • Geriatrics
  • Orthopedics
  • Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Intensive Care Unit

Inpatient Psychiatry

Behavioral Health
Imaging and Radiology
Or greater exposure to curriculum rotations
(e.g., Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Dermatology) 

*Special elective track that culminates in a certificate of training
