Five Million Lives

At the top of our quality agenda is a national campaign that was launched by the Institute for Health Care Improvement known as “5 Million Lives”.  Its aim is to prevent patient harm from things such as infection, medication errors and pressure ulcers.  It calls for everyone in health care, including the board members to keep focused attention on quality. Together with other health care organizations across the country we are talking to national experts, sharing our practices and putting proven strategies into place that will support our efforts toward patient safety.
