Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a medical specialty comprised of board-certified physiatrists. Physiatrists, or rehabilitation physicians, are nerve, muscle, and bone experts who treat injuries or illnesses that affect how you move and function.

Our team of physiatrists brings the highest level of specialty training and will treat any disability resulting from disease or musculoskeletal injury to paralysis. We focus on the development of a comprehensive program for putting the pieces of your life back together after injury or disease without surgery.

Personalized Care Plan to Help Achieve Your Goals

Physiatrists are integral in helping to rediscover and restore your optimal level of function, independence and quality of life. They will develop a comprehensive plan focused on non-surgical treatments that will help you heal medically, socially and emotionally. They may recommend nerve testing, therapeutic injections, medications, physical therapy, assistive devices (e.g. braces or splint) or prosthetics (e.g. artificial joint or limb).
