Doctor Beatrice Bloom
Beatrice Bloom, MD
Beatrice Bloom, MD, has returned to North Shore-LIJ Health System as Physician-in-Chief for The Department of Radiation Medicine at North Shore University Hospital.
Dr. Bloom is a board certified radiation oncologist. She graduated from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Albany Medical College in 1980. She completed her radiation training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa., before becoming faculty at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Between 1984 and 1996, Dr. Bloom was the senior physician for the breast cancer service at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She most recently served as Chairman of Radiation Oncology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y., and Adjunct Professor or Radiation Oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
