Electromyography (EMG)
Electromyography (EMG) Treatment
Electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCS) are a form of testing that is used to study nerve and muscle function. An EMG/NCS will provide your doctor with specific information about the extent and prognosis of your nerve injury and can help determine treatments that are best for you.
Where Can I Get an EMG/NCS?
EMG/NCS testing is available from North Shore-LIJ physiatrists at three office locations. Our physiatrists (rehabilitation physicians) are experts in the non-operative treatment of injuries to the nerve muscle and/or bones. Their expertise lies in treatment options to restore function. No prescription is necessary.
