Partial cystectomy is a surgical procedure to remove a portion of the bladder. Partial cystectomy is a bladder-preserving procedure that is used to treat some cases of bladder cancer (e.g., patients with squamous cell carcinomas or adenocarcinomas) that arise high in the bladder dome. The procedure is also used to treat benign conditions of the bladder.
