What to Expect

As a patient of North Shore-LIJ’s Gynecologic Oncology Division, you can expect warm, caring, compassionate cancer care. We are here for you. Our comprehensive team of professionals will help navigate you through this very challenging time. We understand the stresses of a cancer diagnosis and offer our patients the full range of medical and social support from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.

Upon initial contact with our office, you will be asked for your information, address, phone number, referring physician, diagnosis, insurance information, etc.

We will request that your current medical records be sent to our office so they can be reviewed by the clinical staff and we can properly prepare for your appointment. Arrangements also are made to get your patient release for your pathology slides to be sent to our hospital so that they can again be reviewed by our pathologists.

Please note that appointments can be and often are made on an emergency basis.
