Telephone

There is a daily fee for telephone service. Please give the number to your family and friends so that they may call you directly.

To make a call, you must dial "9," then "1," the area code then the number. All calls (including local) are 10 digits. It is a local call to the following areas: Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, the Bronx, Manhattan and Nassau County.

All other calls require dialing "27," then "0," then "1," then the area code and the number. You may bill the call to your home, your calling or credit card or the party that you are calling.
