Take Charge of Your Health” The program attended by employees and community members was also streamed throughout the facility allowing all employees to attend virtually at their leisure. Participants learned about lifestyle modifications, tips to manage stress, wellness, prevention, nutrition and array of other medical topics.

Katie stated that “Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is committed to promoting the health of our community through wellness initiatives designed for our employees and their families. Dr. Shah’s interactive session was one of the many health awareness and disease prevention programs CSHL provides its employees throughout the year.”

“This is what the Katz Institute for Women’s Health is all about. Getting out to the community and sharing information so that people will make better health care choices. The more we reach out to our neighbors with programs like this, the more they will feel empowered and take ownership of their health.”
