Executive Women in Healthcare - Making Our Way to the Top

Woodbury, NY - In celebration of Women’s History Month, Women Economic Developers of Long Island (WEDLI) presented “Executive Women in Healthcare - Making Our Way to the Top” honoring the strides made by women in healthcare industry. Neeta M. Shah, MD FACP, Vice President of Women’s Health Services- North Shore-LIJ Health System moderated a panel that included Winifred B. Mack, RN, MPA Executive Director of Southside Hospital, Chantal Weinhold, Executive Director LIJ Medical Center and Ruth E. Hennessey, EVP/Chief Administrative Officer - St. Francis Hospital.
“I was delighted when WEDLI decided to highlight executive women in healthcare which allowed us to show that women can aspire to top positions in healthcare. NSLIJ is a work environment that encourages all employees, women and men, to reach their potential and I am proud to be part of that” said Dr. Shah.
Each of the panelists shared their experiences on their journey to becoming executives, the obstacles, strategies and inspirations to an audience of over 50 top business women in LI.
