Huntington Chamber Hosts Informative Program to Prepare Business Owners for What They May "See" in the Next 10 Years

Huntington, NY - It was a packed house for those wanting to better prepare their business or company for the next ten years at the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce “Back to Business - Going Forward” Networking Breakfast. The program focused on what we might expect as we head into the future and covered what businesses need to know about sustaining profitability, cost savings, efficiencies and entrepreneurial opportunities during the next ten years.
The prestigious panel was moderated by Yves Michel, Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Workforce Housing. Panelists included Donna Linke-Klein, Site Executive, BAE Systems; Dr. Gayle Insler, Provost & VP of Academic Affairs, Adelphi University; Anthony DiMaso, VP Corporate Strategy & Development, Verizon; Neeta M. Shah, MD FACP, Vice President of Women's Health Services, North Shore-LIJ Health System and Domenic Abbatiello, Director of Economic Development, National Grid. The panel addressed a number of important issues which included keeping pace with changing trends in the workplace and economy, customer demographics and recent developments within the local business sector.
Dr. Shah spoke about the need for health reform to start with each individual reforming their own health with lifestyle modifications. “Health reform does not have start with the government, it must start with each individual in this room, taking one unhealthy habit and changing it, that is the real reform!” said Dr. Shah.
