Somerset Gardens Sponsors Informative Program on Women's Health
October 27, 2010
Plainview, NY - Somerset Gardens Senior Living hosted an evening of valuable health information for women on October 6, 2010, at the Plainview- Old Bethpage Public Library, presented by Neeta M. Shah, MD, FACP, Vice President of Women’s Health Services, North Shore-LIJ Health System.
Dr. Shah’s presentation was geared for women of all ages, and touched on all major areas affecting women’s health including diet, lifestyle and health screenings.
“Often, when people think of women’s health, they think only of the breast and reproduction,” Dr. Neeta told the audience in the library’s impressive auditorium. “But women's health issues start from the day we are born until the day we are destined to move beyond. Our goal is to provide caring, comfort and elegance that will give birth to a healed woman who is in complete control of her and her family's health."
Somerset Gardens, which provides assisted living and Alzheimer’s/dementia care at its residence at 150 Sunnyside Boulevard, Plainview, presented Dr. Shah’s lecture as a community service.
