Northrop Grumman's WINGS Organization highlights Women's Health

Bethpage, NY – Women in Northrop Grumman (WiNGs) an employee resource group with a vision to foster a diverse work environment through collaboration, enabling positive performance, retention and growth, hosted a lunch-and-learn for their employees with the purpose to educate and encourage healthy lifestyle.  WiNGs brings programs to their employees on women's issues, career development and work life balance, as well as encourages female interest in engineering and science.
 

Neeta M. Shah, MD FACP; vice president of women’s health services for the North Shore-LIJ Health System, presented a program entitled “It’s Your Time... Take Charge of Your Health.” emphasizing the route to better health. Over 25 employees, men included, participated in the lecture and discussion. Alice DeBiasio, a Northrop Grumman engineer who is also the company’s sector WiNGs group’s vice president and treasurer and Bethpage chapter president, said, “Her presentation was very informative and motivating and many of those who heard her were inspired to make changes to improve their health.”
