Emergency Department at Franklin Hospital
The Emergency Medicine Department at Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream, Long Island, NY, sees nearly 44,000 patients per year. Franklin Hospital has one of the most advanced emergency medicine departments in the region. It is staffed by board-certified/board-eligible emergency physicians, dedicated emergency medicine nurses and certified physician assistants who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Franklin Hospital provides a full range of services, including orthopaedics, wound care, pain management, psychiatry, hospice and ambulatory surgery. We also have a 21-bed short-term psychiatric unit.

- Separate fast track unit – The fast track unit at Franklin Hospital's Emergency Medicine Department allows patients with minor illnesses or injuries to be treated rapidly in an environment appropriate to the severity of their illness. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., our seven-bed unit is staffed by an attending emergency physician and attending doctors, residents, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
