Overview

Welcome to Forest Hills Hospital

Forest Hills Hospital (FHH) is a 312-bed community hospital that provides inpatient medical and surgical care, intensive care, and obstetrics and gynecology services. The hospital is designated as a Level II Perinatal Center. The Emergency Department is a 911 receiving site, a certified heart station, as well as a New York State designated Stroke Center. Forest Hills Hospital received a Stroke Gold Plus Award in 2012 in “Get with the Guidelines,” a national hospital-based quality improvement initiative spearheaded by the American Heart Association. Other hospital programs include lithotripsy, brachytherapy for prostate cancer, and advanced wound healing. Forest Hills Hospital’s cancer program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and is also a designated Bariatric Center of Excellence.

Surgical services include: bloodless, bariatric, vascular, endovascular, laparoscopic, breast, pediatric, orthopedic, spine, and podiatry. A new Orthopedic Center of Excellence has been established that includes a full spectrum of joint replacement and supportive services. Forest Hills Hospital offers a newly developed Adult Primary Care Clinic, surgical specialty clinics, and programs in men's and women's health. In 2012, the hospital reported 16,751 inpatient discharges (excluding normal newborn discharges), 2,402 newborn deliveries, 48,833 Emergency Department visits (including Emergency Department admissions) and 4,408 ambulatory surgeries, including endoscopies.
