Residency Rotation in Plastic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital
Lenox Hill Hospital and the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital are affiliated training sites of the reconstructive plastic surgery residency program sponsored by North Shore-LIJ Health System and New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center. The three-month rotation in cosmetic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital is available only to a senior resident enrolled in a ACGME-accredited plastic surgery residency program.
Under direct supervision of a plastic surgery attending, residents see patients in the Plastic Surgery Outpatient Clinic. The patients are admitted to the hospital as teaching cases with full knowledge and consent of the patient. Residents perform operative procedures and provide pre- and post-operative care. Residents also gather valuable experience in conducting day-to-day plastic surgical practice.
